IPSA Education Courses for 2025
The Institute of Packaging is once again running its various online packaging education courses during 2025 and encourages companies in the packaging and related industries to consider these courses to enhance the skills of their workforce and build knowledge and capacity in packaging technology. These courses are well respected and recognized both locally and internationally.
The course offerings are as follows:
INTRODUCTION TO PACKAGING – ONLINE
This short course is intended for those embarking on a career in packaging and provides a broad and basic practical introduction to the many aspects they will encounter in the industry (±2 months duration). Class 1 commences Mid-February 2025.
ONE YEAR DIPLOMA IN PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY – ONLINE
This widely recognised and respected course covers a wide spectrum of packaging related subjects. The course is attended by those engaged in the production, purchasing, quality control and marketing disciplines so as to gain a wider understanding of the packaging requirement facets of their functions.
The diploma qualification is accredited by the World Packaging Organisation, the Packaging Society (UK), and the Australian Institute of Packaging. The syllabus is based upon IPSA’s own publication “A Handbook of Packaging Technology” and both this text book and the course itself have established an excellent reputation, locally and internationally.
Online classes held on Tuesday and Thursday from 17h30 to 19h30 via Zoom, and recordings of these lectures available on the student Moodle site
Course Commences 18 February 2025, and enrolments for the 2025 course are open.
ADVANCED PACKAGING DIPLOMA – ONLINE
This course is aimed at those who are preparing themselves for senior or management level positions in the industry. The Advanced Programme is open to all graduates of IPSA’s One Year Diploma in Packaging Technology and others with appropriate qualifications or experience. It is intended to build on the basic course, and features guest facilitators who are leaders in their various fields, sourced from all over South Africa (±6months duration) Online classes are held on a Monday, Wednesday, sometimes a Friday or Saturday from 17h30 to 19h30 via Zoom with recordings of these lectures available on the student Moodle site.
Course commences – 19 May 2025, and enrolments for the 2025 course are open.
