Packaging SA’s says farewell to Charles Muller

Charles Muller handed over the reins as Executive Director of Packaging SA to Shabeer Jhetam on 1 March 2018.

After almost five years in this role Charles made the decision to step down as he needs to play a more active role in the full-time running of Tufflex, a PP and HD recycling operation where he has been a shareholder and non-executive director up until recently when he was appointed as Managing Director.

Andre de Ruyter past Chairman of Packaging SA wrote the following words in his notification of Charles resignation to members.   “During Charles’s tenure, he stabilised the financial affairs of Packaging SA, successfully rebranded the organisation, played a pivotal role in delicate and difficult engagements with government on the proposed waste management tax, raised the profile of the organisation through constructive, and positive public engagements with a variety of stakeholders and in general, created a sound launchpad for a bright future for Packaging SA going forward.  As members of the packaging industry in SA, we are grateful for the commitment, drive, energy and leadership that he has displayed during his tenure.”

We wish Charles much success with this new venture.
